This is a Door Lock Sensor Magnetic Proximity Switch Normally Open RC-36. Magnetic contact is one of the most reliable sensors for sensing the status of open and close of windows, doors and other devices. It consists of a magnetic sensor (contact switch) and magnetic. The magnetic contact built-in high life-span reed switch, with NO output for connection of intrusion alarm panels, access control systems or other devices. Normally Open (NO) :

• In the default state (when the magnet is not nearby), the circuit is open (no current flows).
• When the magnet is brought close, the circuit closes (current flows).
• Opposite of “Normally Closed (NC).”

The RC-36 Normally Open magnetic switch is a door lock sensor that stays off (open circuit) until the door/window (with a magnet) is closed. When the door closes and the magnet comes near, the circuit becomes closed, allowing current to flow and signaling the alarm/controller.
